Welcome to Our Site!

We're glad you stopped by our Web site. Please take a few moments to browse through each section and discover what we have to offer. The Camp Taylor Fire District is committed to the preservation and protection of life, property, and the environment from the adverse effects of fire, medical, and hazardous conditions, through sustained training, progressive education, and constant diligence to provide the highest

level of customer service.

The Camp Taylor Fire Protection District is a KRS Chapter 75 district in Louisville - Jefferson County, Kentucky.  We are a combination fire department, which means we are staffed with career as well as volunteer firefighters. We respond to fires and other emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our thoughts and prayers go to the family of our friend,
MYRTLE C. HURLEY who went to be with her heavenly Father on August 26, 2010 at the Masonic Home Healthcare Center with her loving family by her side. She was married for 46 years to the love of her life, Ronald B. Hurley, who preceded her in death in 1994. She was love by everyone who knew her and she had a smile that would light up a room.

She is survived by her two sisters, Opal Lee Seymour, of Clearwater, FL and Shirley Ann Futch, of Louisville; her four children, Ronald W. Hurley (Diana), Catherine Lorraine "Lorrie" Kight (Steve), Mary Ann Cook (John Wolz) and Dorothy Marie "Dottie" Prevost (Gary); eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Bosse Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-8 p.m. with the funeral to be held at St. Stephen Martyr Church on Monday, August 30, 2010 at 11a.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Crusade for Children.

Join Our Team

The Camp Taylor Fire Department relies heavily on volunteer firefighters for the second trucks. These men and women come from all walks of life, but all have one thing in common – at a moments notice, they put their lives on the line for their community. Our members include engineers, mechanics, painters, plumbers, police officers, and students. If you have the desire to serve your community and you meet our requirements, go to the "Contact Us" page and fill it out.  One of the members of our Recruitment Team will contact you.
